In this era of information flying everywhere, the way people transmit information has undergone earth-shaking changes, from the ancient times of entrusting people to send letters, to flying pigeons to send books, mailing, and now to the current Internet era... Mobile phones have become a must for people in this era. One of the missing things. It can be said that everyone is inseparable from mobile phones in their daily life. Through the continuous sliding of fingers, we can complete the exchange and acquisition of information.
The development of mobile phones is inseparable from the progress of the touch screen, so what is the principle of the touch screen? How did you get to where you are today? Not much to say, let's go and see together~
At present, there are two types of mainstream touch screens, namely resistive touch screen and capacitive touch screen.
resistive touch screen
Resistive touch screens are relatively simple and are widely used in daily life, such as ATM cash machines and POS machines.
The resistive touch screen consists of two layers that can conduct electricity, one is resistive and the other is conductive, and a spacer layer is sandwiched between the two layers. The spacer layer is composed of some tiny dots.
Normally, the current flows continuously through the two layers, but when a finger touches the screen, the screen bends and the two layers squeeze together, causing the current to change, and the position of the current change is fed back to the device's software, the software will perform the corresponding function of the position. For example, when you click to withdraw 200 at the ATM machine, the ATM machine will spit out 200 yuan.
capacitive touch screen
Although resistive touch screens are reliable and durable, due to their multi-layer structure, it is difficult to realize the reading function and the screen will become blurred under strong light conditions, and what is more fatal is that they cannot realize the function of zooming in and out of pictures, etc. Smartphones can only give up. The resistive touch screen adopts the capacitive touch screen.
The biggest difference between a capacitive touch screen and a resistive touch screen is that it doesn't need to poke it with your finger, but just lightly touch it with anything with a charge to change the current.
Because fingers are composed of atoms with positive and negative charges, as long as the fingers touch the screen lightly in daily life, they will transfer tiny charges to the fingers, and then form a complete circuit locally, causing the voltage at that location to drop, The mobile phone software executes the corresponding function of the voltage drop position.
It turns out that this is how the touch screen realizes the different functions we want. I have to say that the technological products of the Internet age are really amazing!
